When vegetables are grown chemical-FREE, they should always take a bath! As a child, I can remember coming home from the store with my Mother or bringing vegetables in from the garden and dunking them in a sink of water. Why would we do this? It was in order to flush out any dirt or bugs that might be in the veggies.
When you don’t use chemicals in your garden or on your farm, pests, dirt and grime will get in and on your vegetables. You need to wash them and flush out the potential bugs with a “Bath”.
This week you are receiving NAPA CABBAGE. As most all of our vegetables, the cabbage was grown chemical-free. Because of this reason, bugs like, Aphids (small ant like bugs) usually hide inside and need to be flushed out by dunking the cabbage in a sink of water. The bugs will drown and come out then you can store your cabbage in the fridge.
