Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is the concept of people supporting a farm with a direct investment and sharing in the return of the harvest. Their relationship with the farm, the fresh seasonal food that comes in the boxes every week and sharing in the risks that make for a bountiful or poor harvest all connect them to the place where they live. Meanwhile, the farm family has resources and a secure market throughout the year.
Grasshoppers has improvised on this model, to offer a multi-farm, all-natural and organically grown program that provides beef, chicken, pork, milk, cheese and eggs, as well as produce. Because we work with over sixty farms, we can provide more variety then your typical CSA allows. We pride ourselves on being local, connected, fresh and flavorful.
Our producers take pride in the personal attention given to growing their food, and the quick harvest-to-table turnaround. Of all the benefits that come with buying local food, we want to make sure that fresh, high quality food is what keeps you coming back. We only work with farms and producers in Kentucky and Southern Indiana to provide the freshest experience possible for our subscribers.
