Eco Gardens Farm is committed to growing produce naturally without the use of chemicals. The farm was organically certified until two years ago, but being a part of a tight-knit community of Old Order Mennonites, Andrew found it hard having government workers visiting his land. He is, however, reconsidering recertifying his tomato greenhouses. They supply grasshoppers with year round produce, including canned goods for the winter months. All the work is done without the use of electricity and running water. Horse power tills their fields and a newly built horse treadmill operates their Kentucky State certified sorghum and canning facility.
